1. General Provisions

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the User) and the independent developer operating the Cariff platform. Cariff is a non-commercial pet project built for demonstration purposes. By actively checking the consent box during registration, you agree to these terms governing your use of the platform.

2. Platform Role & MVP Status

Cariff currently operates as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). You acknowledge that:

  • Cariff acts as an IT platform connecting potential buyers and sellers. We do not process payments for vehicles directly through the platform.
  • Users have the ability to create their own vehicle listings directly on the website.
  • Certain vehicle listings on the platform are aggregated from public sources for demonstration purposes. Cariff does not own, sell, or guarantee the condition of these vehicles.
  • Aggregated listings are explicitly marked with "Aggregated from: [Source name]" in the listing's description.
  • The "Contact Seller" button behaves differently based on the listing origin: for aggregated listings, it will redirect you to the original source page; for listings created natively on cariff.com, it functions as an internal link to contact the seller directly.

3. User Responsibilities & Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive essential transactional emails (e.g., OTP codes) necessary for secure authentication. You agree to provide accurate information and not to use the platform for automated data scraping, spamming, or fraudulent activities.

4. Consumer Rights & Dispute Resolution

In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to transparent information. Since Cariff currently provides a free digital platform access (and does not directly sell physical goods), standard 14-day return policies for physical goods do not apply to your platform account. Any disputes arising from the use of this website shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
